Inspired by the colours of the French Racing 92 club, the Racing Rugby Club of Melbourne has somewhat similar beginnings to its famous namesake, which originally started as an amateur athletics (racing) club in metropolitan Paris in 1882.  Our story involves a group of passionate athletics and rugby parents wanting to develop a rugby footprint in their local Bayside, Kingston, Port Philip, and Glen Eira municipalities.

The Racing Rugby Club of Melbourne is a junior club affiliated with the Rugby Victoria and provides quality coaching for boys and girls between the ages of 5 to 16.  At the club players will have the opportunity to learn and enjoy the game and meet new friends.  We focus on leadership, knowledge of the game, skills and conditioning in a safe environment where a strong sense of equality, sportsmanship and fair play are encouraged.

We are a community based club with strong links with the local public and private primary and secondary school communities in the Bentleigh, Brighton and Hampton area. With a successful record of introducing the game as to several schools within our area.

Our goal is to provide access to rugby for all and to assist in developing the game in the local community by sponsoring orhosting both boys and girls Touch7’s and Rugby 7's gala days, skills development academies and holiday programs.
